Our mission is to feed starving children and help end world hunger.
We accomplish our mission by:
1) Educating students and residents in Fremont City about world hunger and how each person can make an impact to help,
2) Engaging volunteers as young as 7 years old to package the ingredients for the meals specifically formulated to meet the nutritional needs of starving children, and by
3) Maintaining worldwide partnerships with humanitarian organizations.
Every hour of every day 10 children per minute die of starvation or malnutrition-related diseases. Kids Against Hunger Fremont is a 501(C) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to end this tragedy.
Kids Against Hunger Fremont is about feeding starving children and empowering kids, teen, and adults to be part of the solution. We do this by using volunteers to package and ship highly nutritious, life-saving meals to starving and malnourished children in developing countries and the United States.
Kids Against Hunger Fremont operates as a satellite of Kids Against Hunger, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. Kids Against Hunger is a national organization with packaging satellites in over 16 U.S. states and Canada. Together we have the capacity to produce over 50 million meals per year. We also work with other organizations seeking long term solutions to the systemic causes of hunger.
From its launch in 1999 to late 2018, Kids Against Hunger has shipped nearly two billion meals to children and families in more than 70 countries through the efforts of volunteers.
